ImprovBoston’s Harold Night Poster

Going into this, we found there was some real audience confusion as to what exactly a ‘Harold’ is. When most people think of improv, they think of ‘Whose Line is it Anyway,’ which this is not. So, we found ourselves in the position of having to explain.
Existing marketing material was problematic and kind of nonsensical. There was a lot of Dadaist-type stuff out there like a giant fist clutching a kitten and things of that nature with the loud tagline of “HAROLD NIGHT” — it lent to the idea that all improv is the same.
Everyone has been pretty pleased with this. It retains a fun, independent vibe and will hopefully bring in some new people.
The bentwood chairs near the top are sort of an in-joke for improvisers
